A moped driver was arrested late on July 4th in Revere after police said he struck a trooper who was trying to de-escalate an aggressive crowd.

State police noted this is the second time in recent weeks in which a driver in Revere has struck and injured a trooper.

A Massachusetts State Police trooper was hit by a moped and injured while trying to de-escalate an "aggressive" crowd of hundreds gathered and setting off illegal fireworks in Revere on Friday night,
