Drake has filed a second legal action against the record label Universal Music over the promotion of Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us. In papers filed in Texas, the star accuses Universal of defamation, and claims it could have halted the release of a song "falsely accusing him of being a sex offender".

Drake has escalated his dispute with fellow rap superstar Kendrick Lamar, filing a pair of court notices warning of legal action against major music companies for what Drake called manipulative promotion of Lamar's megahit "Not Like Us.

For the second straight day, Drake has taken legal action against Universal Music Group, this time in Texas, over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”
