The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) said two arrests have been made following an AMBER Alert that was issued on Tuesday. According to officials, the SBI and FBI were requested by the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a child abduction case.

Two people were arrested Thursday, Feb. 26, 2025, by law enforcement with help from agents of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and FBI in connection to a child abduction case. A 15-year-old teen from Spring Lake was reported abducted Feb.

The SWAT team in Currituck County, along with Dare County authorities, arrested two men Thursday morning in connection with a girl, 15, missing from Spring Lake in Harnett County, N.C. The girl was the subject of an Amber Alert and was reported missing Tuesday morning.
