No Metroid game is complete without new abilities and a cool altered space suit. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has both, with the Switch game’s latest trailer showing off psychic powers and red and black space armor that almost makes Samus Aran look like a Geth trooper from Mass Effect (complimentary).

Nintendo has just given us our best look at Metroid Prime 4: Beyond so far, and even though it looks absolutely lush, we're still staring at a 2025 placeholder date.

Beyond that, Metroid Prime 4 is more 3D Metroid in first-person. So far only a verdant jungle biome has been shown, with Samus scanning flora and fauna, rolling in morph ball form, and shooting alien creatures with her beam weapon.

Beyond trailer sees Samus trapped on a mysterious planet, where she gains some psychic powers and a new armor suit.

In the latest trailer, protagonist Samus Aran lands on a strange planet called Viewros, inhabited by hostile alien creatures as well as a race that seems versed in psychic powers. Said powers are also bestowed unto Samus, allowing her to interact with the environment and combat enemies in various new ways.

Nintendo has unveiled the official box art for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and folks, it's a beauty.
