The battle between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and OpenAI’s Sam Altman for the industry’s top AI talent shows no signs of cooling off. This time, Zuckerberg appears to have secured two more researchers from OpenAI.
Meta Platforms has recruited two senior artificial intelligence (AI) researchers from Apple Inc., in what marks another major coup in the intensifying competition for top-tier AI talent.
Meta has reportedly poached two top OpenAI researchers, Jason Wei and Hyung Won Chung, for its new superintelligence lab, escalating the fierce AI talent war between leading tech giants.
OpenAI researcher Jason Wei will reportedly join Meta’s new Superintelligence Lab. Another team member, Hyung Won Chung, might also join Meta, as the company works to catch up to rivals in the AGI race.
"Here, people say, 'I want the fewest number of people reporting to me and the most GPUs,'" Mark Zuckerberg said about the AI talent war.
