Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has woken up from an induced coma after undergoing an emergency surgery, BBC reports. The 27-year-old, who has been linked with a summer exit, had to go under the knife for a serious abdominal injury that left medical staff fearing the worst. But he is now in recovery.

As Taiwo Awoniyi went into an induced coma, presidential hopeful Peter Obi spoke. Awoniyi suffered a ruptured intestine in the United Kingdom (UK).
