Futures tied to major indexes are little-changed Friday morning as investors await the release of employment data that will provide clues on the health of the economy and the outlook for interest rates.

The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq were set to open little changed on Friday as the stock market awaits the January jobs report.

A largely listless and flat futures market pushed lower after the latest jobs numbers showed a cooldown in hiring. Dow futures were down 0.1%. S&P 500 futures was down 0.2%, while Nasdaq futures was down 0.

Stock futures are slightly higher Thursday morning after two straight days of gains have taken major indexes back near all-time highs.
