Not every team in the National Football League can say they have a good, serviceable running back that they feel completely confident in.
The Broncos tried (and failed) to claim two tight ends off the NFL's waiver wire on Monday. Denver put in claims for Brendan Bates and Ben Sims, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, but those players were awarded to the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings, respectively, because those clubs were higher in the waiver order than the Broncos.
