Cotter Pin Solutions’ Anit-Seize Cotter Pin is designed to prevent clevis pin seizing by holding it stationary, forcing a slack adjuster to rotate around it each time a brake is applied.
The two basic types of semipermanent pins are machine pins and radial-locking pins. Machine pins are separated into four categories: dowel, taper, clevis, and cotter.
After removing the wheel and brake drums, disconnect the slack adjuster from the chamber clevis by removing the clevis pin.
