Federal law states that flags are to be flown at half staff nationwide. Here's what that will look like in Oklahoma.

Trump has not publicly issued an order for flags to be flown at half-staff for Cheney's death, but White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a press briefing that the flags were lowered at the White House "in accordance with statutory law."

Governor Andy Beshear ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff. He says this should last through sunset on November 9, and is in honor of those lost because of a plane crash near the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Governor Kathy Hochul has ordered that flags on all New York State government buildings be flown at half-staff following the death of former U.S. Vice President Richard “Dick” Bruce Cheney. This took effect immediately and will remain in place through the date of his interment.

Flags at state offices across Kentucky have been lowered in honor of those impacted by the deadly UPS plane crash in Louisville.
