A Chinese humanoid robot has set a new 100-meter sprint record of 8.86 seconds in Beijing. This achievement took place Tuesday during China’s World Humanoid Robot Games, an Olympic-style competition now in its second year.

Two humanoid robots broke Usain Bolt’s record for the 100-meter dash last Saturday. One ( shown here) ran the course in 9.47 seconds, and the other managed to do so in just 9.39 seconds.
