Steven Mylrea been on his homemade houseboat with his dog, Mexicali, since Dec. 2 on a journey from Ontario to Chicago.

The journey of the Neverlanding houseboat and its crew, Captain Steve and his canine companion Mexicali, came to an abrupt end Tuesday on Bird Creek Park beach in Port Austin.
