The Norwegian Viva cruise ship has pulled into its new home in Galveston, marking yet another wave in growth in the local cruise industry.

Norwegian Cruise Line's private island, Great Stirrup Cay, will open a new waterpark in Summer 2026. The Great Tides Waterpark will feature 19 waterslides, a "dynamic river" and a kids' splash zone.
