Rams WR Puka Nacua expected to play vs. 49ers in NFC West clash
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay expects wide receiver Puka Nacua to suit up against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday at Levi's Stadium, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The San Francisco 49ers got back to winning ways on Sunday, and it was thanks in large part to another strong performance from star running back Christian McCaffrey. The Niners were on the road at MetLife Stadium for Week 9. They took down the New York Giants, 34-24, to improve to 6-3 on the season.
San Francisco 49ers QB Mac Jones got effective protection to beat the Giants, but credit some of that success to Kyle Shanahan's plan for how to keep New York's vaunted pass rush from being a factor.

Where 49ers sit in 2025 NFL power rankings entering Week 10 game vs. Rams
Here is where the San Francisco 49ers sit in the 2025 NFL Week 10 power rankings after their win over the New York Giants.
The 49ers’ lone move was sending a sixth-round pick to New England on Oct. 28 for end/tackle Keion White, who was a second-round pick in 2024 but not considered a fit with the defensive scheme brought in by coach Mike Vrabel. The 49ers also got back a seventh-round pick in the deal.
On a more positive note, there are some previously injured players who are set to make their return in Week 9. After being sidelined since Week 2, Minnesota will bring back quarterback J.J. McCarthy, while the Los Angeles Rams will welcome back star wideout Puka Nacua.
Trevor Lawrence scored on a quarterback sneak in overtime for his second rushing touchdown of the game, and the Jacksonville Jaguars held on to beat Las Vegas 30-29 on Sunday when nose tackle DaVon Hamilton batted down Geno Smith’s pass to deny the Raiders a winning 2-point conversion.
The San Francisco 49ers continue to find ways to win games, but at the end of every game, they seem to add another new name to the injury report. While some have been more serious than others, it appears as though edge rusher Mykel Williams' ACL injury could be a season-ending injury .
