On "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart argued President Donald Trump is planning to seek an unconstitutional third term in 2028.

Jimmy Kimmel was a recent guest on Ted Danson’s “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” podcast and revealed that he nearly lost the job of hosting an ABC late-night talk show to none other than Jon Stewart.

Zohran Mamdani was greeted warmly in an interview with Jon Stewart, who told him: “You are clearly right now in the front-running position. I can tell, because they’ve gone 9/11 on you.”

They definitely should’ve hire Jon. If I’m in that position, there’s no question I hire Jon 100 times out of a 100,” the Emmy winner said in a recent podcast appearance.

Jon Stewart appeared visibly shocked Thursday after former Vice President Kamala Harris told the comedian that ex-President Joe Biden was “fully competent” to serve another term.

Jon Stewart isn’t going anywhere. Stewart has closed another one-year deal to remain as one of the hosts and exec producers of The Daily Show through the end of next year. It is his third such deal and takes him through December 2026.
