LUMBERTON, N.C. (WBTW) — A Lumberton man is facing an attempted murder charge in connection with the shooting of a woman near a Cookout fast-food restaurant, the Lumberton Police Department said.

A former North Carolina deputy, his wife, and two adult sons pleaded guilty to defrauding the Small Business Administration's Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Paycheck Protection Program.
