Nine people have died following dangerous flooding in the state, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has confirmed.

At least one child was confirmed among the dead as crews continue working to reach people trapped by floodwaters.

Several residents had to be rescued from their homes over the weekend as floodwaters inundated communities around the commonwealth.
