Apple introduced the "most advanced" camera it's ever made for the iPhone 18 Pro. The company said the 48 megapixel fusion main camera allows users to manually adjust the aperture, which determines how much light passes through to the camera.
The final, and perhaps most notable, discovery concerns how iOS 27 handles lens correction data. According to pdfu, the code allows the system to select and blend calibration data based on aperture value, pulling correction data from neighboring aperture settings and combining it in varying ratios depending on where the lens is set.
The Z6 III was already one of the most well-rounded cameras in its class, combining strong stills performance with excellent video credentials, but dropping below the $2,000 mark changes the conversation completely. At this price, it goes from being a strong-value option to one of the easiest full-frame mirrorless cameras to recommend.
