A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer was allegedly involved in smuggling for years on the border in El Paso, Texas.

According to a social media post by the 27th Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, Michael W. Banks, they dismantled the operation by arresting four smugglers and apprehending eight undocumented migrants, some from Mexico and others from Ecuador and Guatemala.

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - U.S. Border Patrol El Centro Sector announced the arrest of five human smugglers. In a post to Instagram, the smugglers were involved in smuggling a migrant from Calexico to San Bernardino. The post says the arrest took place last week in the parking lot of a Black Angus steakhouse.

Border Patrol agents from the Brian A. Terry Station arrested two undocumented migrants after they attempted to flee from a vehicle stop near Hereford, authorities said.
