In Week 6, Miami (5-0) maintained its strong start to the season with a 28–22 victory over its in-state rival, the No. 25 Florida State Seminoles. Although the final score was close, the Hurricanes held a commanding 28–3 lead entering the fourth quarter before the Seminoles mounted a late comeback.

Five of A&M’s 17 red zone touchdowns have been passing, with wide receiver KC Concepcion the prime recipient with three touchdown catches. The other two come from A&M’s tight ends, Theo Melin Ohrstrom and Nat Boerkircher’s 4th-down, game-winner against Notre Dame.
