Apple announced its new iOS 27 operating system on Monday, while disclosing that it will be supported on devices going back to the iPhone 11. That phone debuted in 2019. The company typically makes iPhone software compatible with several generations of older devices.
Apple took the wraps off iOS 27 at its WWDC event, and the iPhone update is chock-full of smart upgrades, with a big focus on improvements to Siri.
OS 27 has plenty of headline features, but smaller updates to Mail, iCloud Shared Albums, accessibility, Home, Maps, and network switching may be the ones people notice most.
