Snow is going to develop right overhead of Lower Michigan this morning. There will be steady snow eventually and widespread accumulations of a few inches. The winter weather advisory map below nicely shows where snow-covered and slick roads will develop.

The odds of Winter Storm Cora impacting Central Texas have weakened, the NWS says. Freezing rain Thursday and Friday may still cause icy conditions.

On Friday at 8:44 p.m. an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the NWS Wakefield VA. The advisory is for Western Currituck and Eastern Currituck as well as Pasquotank, Camden, Bertie, Chowan and Perquimans counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of North Texas until 12 p.m. Friday. Early Friday morning, the originally issued winter storm warning was canceled and replaced with the advisory.
