Vance Boelter, 57, has been charged in the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses. The Hennepin County Attorney said Monday that her office intends to pursue first-degree murder charges against him as well.

The man suspected of killing one Minnesota lawmaker and wounding another is now charged with murder after police arrested him Sunday near his home following a nearly two-day search.

Minnesota authorities arrested Vance Boelter, the suspect in the assassination of Democratic state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband and the failed assassination attempt of Democratic state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, on Sunday afternoon after a daylong manhunt.
