Six soldiers at Fort Stewart, Ga., were honored Thursday with medals after a sergeant opened fire, shooting and injuring five fellow soldiers Wednesday.

Of the five wounded soldiers, three were released from the hospital, one remains hospitalized at Fort Stewart, while the final soldier is at a Savannah, Georgia, hospital, officials said. It is still an active investigation. Update 7:02 a.m. ET Aug. 6: The alleged gunman was identified as Sgt. Quornelius Radford, 28, The Associated Press reported.
