Tropical Storm Andrea has dissipated after holding its title less than 24 hours, according to the National Hurricane Center. Forecasters said Andrea, which on Tuesday became the first named storm of 2025 in the Atlantic, degenerated to a remnant low late Tuesday night.

The "heat dome" hovering over the eastern half of the U.S. now has a thunderstorm "ring of fire" erupting along its edge. Meanwhile, in the Atlantic, the first tropical storm of the season has been named.
