A Georgia country music star received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. Trisha Yearwood, who grew up in Monticello, attended the unveiling ceremony in Los Angeles on Monday along with her husband Garth Brooks,

Trisha Yearwood made sure to thank someone near and dear to her heart when she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 24. Yearwood noted early in her speech that there are “a lot of Garths in my life” before singling out her husband, fellow country star Garth Brooks.

"The first artist that was so kind to me at an award show was Reba McEntire," Yearwood said Trisha Yearwood has a friend in Reba McEntire. On Monday, March 24, Yearwood was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
