The Texas Longhorns' basketball team has had an up-and-down 2024-25 season. At this point in the year with March Madness right around the corner, they hold a 16-10 record and are very much in dangerous of missing the NCAA Tournament.

Texas Longhorn guard Tre Johnsons has continued to prove that he is one of the best scorers in the nation, and it seems that his electrifying play has earned him another accolade. Johnson was named the SEC Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week for an astounding fourth time,

Freshman Tre Johnson scored 32 points, and senior Tramon Mark had 26, season bests for both, and Texas defeated No. 15 Kentucky 82-78 on Saturday night, snapping a three-game losing streak.
