Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Superman” flew past the competition for the second straight week, grossing an estimated $57.25 million to top the box office this weekend.

The DC Universe's first major outing is setting a strong precedent, but it still tails 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in the week-to-week numbers.

Superman retained the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office in its second weekend, pulling in an estimated $57.25 million from 4,275 theaters, bringing its domestic total to more than $235 million. The James Gunn-directed reboot has now grossed more than $406.

According to the San Jose Fire Department, a vehicle crashed into the post office and caught fire. The United States Postal Service identified the suspect arrested as 44-year-old Richard Tillman, who the USPS says is reported to be the brother of late NFL player and U.

A man was arrested in connection with the crash on suspicion of arson, officials said. No injuries were reported.
