Daylight saving time is almost here. And while it means longer days, it also means less sleep. Here's what to know.

It's almost daylight saving time, where we all turn the hands of our clocks forward one hour. Daylight saving didn't become federal law until 1966, with passage of the Uniform Time Act . It established daylight saving time from the last Sunday of April through the last Sunday of October.

Daylight saving time will begin on March 9, 2025. That day, most Americans will lose an hour of sleep when the clocks turn forward one hour at 2 a.m. When we spring forward, sunrise will be at 7:08 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:47 p.m. in Worcester. It will end on Nov 2.
