Shailene Woodley shared some information regarding her in-the-works Janis Joplin biopic during her Dec. 3 appearance on 'The Tonight Show,' where she said music producer Linda Perry "really pushed me to figure out how to find my own voice" for the movie.

Linda Perry, who is the music producer on the film, put Woodley in a lot of "uncomfortable situations" to unlock her singing voice.
