All flights to and from Yemen's Sanaa International Airport have been suspended until further notice due to extensive damage following Israeli strike, the airport's general director said on Wednesday in a post on X.

The Israeli military has said it "fully disabled" Yemen's main airport in the capital Sanaa, which is controlled by the Houthis. Tuesday's strikes targeted three civilian planes, the departures hall, the runway and a military air base, airport sources told Reuters. An official told AFP that the airport had been "completely destroyed".

Israel's military on Tuesday (May 6) warned people to leave the area around the main airport in Yemen's capital Sanaa, a day after it struck the port of Hodeidah in response to a Houthi missile that landed near Israel’s main air hub.
