Paulinho worked his way between a pair of defenders and rolled a shot into the back of the net in extra time to put Palmeiras into the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Brazilian league rival Botafogo.

Palmeiras fans had to wait 100 minutes for the goal, but Paulinho's strike was a deserved reward for the teams' play and the colorful scene in the stands at Lincoln Financial Field.
