The New England Patriots went into the NFL Scouting Combine with plenty of roster questions and a need to build around quarterback Drake Maye. This year's draft is a pivotal one for the franchise, and the team will look to address key weaknesses while also stockpiling assets for the future.

Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan is projected to be the first wideout off the board. Travis Hunter has declared as a cornerback, but the Colorado two-way star plans to work out at both positions at the Big 12 Pro Day.

McMillan is considered the top wide receiver in the draft outside of Colorado’s Travis Hunter, who also doubles as the top cornerback prospect. The Arizona product caught 84 passes for 1,319 yards with eight touchdowns in 2024. He was even more productive as a sophomore in 2023 with 90 catches for 1,402 yards with 10 touchdowns.
