The New York Giants traded up with the Houston Texans to draft Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart in the first round of the NFL Draft. Much of the criticism surrounding Dart's selection was based on the Ole Miss offense that he played in throughout college—an RPO-heavy offense that didn’t use a verbal cadence as is customary in the NFL but instead opted for a clap.

Jaxson Dart is going to play early for the Giants this season. The early returns on Dart as a player and leader were that promising on day one of rookie minicamp in East Rutherford, N.J.

His first year in Buffalo coincided with Josh Allen's rookie season, as he oversaw the former Wyoming passer blossom into one of the NFL's top quarterbacks. Allen is coming off an impressive 2024 campaign, earning MVP honors for the first time in his career.
