Michigan State blasted at Wisconsin for third loss in four games
MADISON, Wis. – A five-day break without a game wasn’t enough rest for Michigan State to show up in the first half. The No. 10 Spartans dug an 18-point deficit early and were thumped 92-71 by Wisconsin at the Kohl Center on Friday night.
The win was Wisconsin's second road victory over a top-10 team this season. The Spartans took the lead in the second half, but the Wolverines steaded themselves to beat their in-state rival. Jeremy Fears Jr. inspired the Spartans' road comeback and finished with a season-high 29 points and nine assists.
Nick Boyd scored 29 points and shot 5-of-7 from 3-point range as Wisconsin trounced No. 10 Michigan State 92-71 on Friday night, marking the second time in four nights that the Badgers have beaten a top-10 team.
Back-to-back jumpers from Kur Teng along with a Carson Cooper floater helped MSU battle against the three-point barrage from the Badgers. Wisconsin would hold onto their lead heading into the second TV timeout 19-14. That’s when the Badgers run started.
