Kim Mulkey showed up in style for the LSU women's basketball team's Sweet 16 showdown against NC State as March Madness rolls on and the internet had jokes.

Kim Mulkey guided the LSU Tigers to their third consecutive Elite Eight with a win on Friday night, but before celebrating she spent some time comforting NC State players in the handshake line.

“Kim is the best in the locker room I’ve ever seen,” said former director of women’s basketball operations Johnny Derrick, who worked with Mulkey from 2000 to 2024. “Her ability to know when to push a kid, when to love them, when they need a day off — she’s just got a feel for it.”

Mulkey's sideline fits have become their own spectacle during the women's March Madness tournament. She opted for a powder blue pantsuit during LSU's first-round win over No. 14 San Diego State and a shimmering cerulean blue suit jacket for the Tigers' second-round win over No. 6 Florida State.

Aneesah Morrow had a monster night in LSU's big win over NC State in the Sweet 16 on Friday and Kim Mulkey backed her player postgame.

The Wolfpack had no answers for Tigers' forward Aneesah Morrow, who put together a dominant performance with a game-high 30 points and 19 rebounds, including nine offensive boards, three steals and two blocks. Starters Mikaylah Williams and Sa'Myah Smith combined for another 40 LSU points.
