Houston Cougars football earned their first ranked win on the road for the first time since 2017 as UH beat No. 24 Arizona State 24-16 Saturday night in Tempe.

Conner Weigman ran for a career-high 111 yards and accounted for three touchdowns and Ethan Sanchez added a 26-yard field goal for the Cougars, who snapped Arizona State’s 10-game home winning streak. Quarterback Sam Leavitt lost for the first time in 11 career home starts for the Sun Devils.
