A cold front associated with a frontal boundary is expected to move across South Florida on Wednesday afternoon and into the evening bringing temperatures in the lower 50s for coastal Palm Beach County and in the upper 40s in communities near Lake Okeechobee, the National Weather Service in Miami said.

MIAMI - A warming trend continues across South Florida on Tuesday ahead of the next cold front that will arrive mid-week. Tuesday morning it was mild with temperatures in the low 70s along the coast. It was slightly cooler inland with low to mid-60s along the western suburbs.

The coldest temperature on record in West Palm Beach for Dec. 3 is 43 degrees measured in 1903. How long will this cold weather last in South Florida?

We’ll see a blend of sun and clouds Tuesday afternoon, with high temperatures in the low 80s. Clouds will increase Tuesday night as our next cold front approaches our area. Wednesday will be somewhat active as showers and a few storms move through Central Florida.

Sweater weather returns Thursday morning. In the wake of that front, lows will tumble to the upper 50s. It will be a chilly start and then highs will only rise to the low 70s. The breeze will build too and it will be windy to blustery at times with gusts as high as 20 to 25 miles per hour late week and through the first half of the weekend.
