GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Headbangers can head over to this year’s 2025 Upheaval Festival to rock out all night long. The fourth annual multi-day concert is held at Grand Rapids’ Belknap Park on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19. Doors open at 1 p.m. with VIP pass holders entering early at 12:45 p.m.

Hart Plaza Park will be filled with live performances, spoken word, and cultural showcases as the Detroit African World Festival returns this weekend.

An author of six books, Eig's "King: A Life" about Martin Luther King Jr. won the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for biography. Other feature authors appearing at the festival include Beatriz Williams, Michael W. Twitty, David Levithan and Julie Clark and Alix E. Harrow.

But the parade and festival this year have been mired in debate, especially over the festival headliner, Kehlani, and the singer’s remarks on Israel’s war in Gaza, which have prompted dozens of organizations and local leaders to distance themselves from Pride events this year.

The annual festival, which is set to take over downtown Cincinnati from July 24-26, is featuring Earth, Wind & Fire, LL Cool J, Lucky Daye and more July 25-26. A celebration of hip-hop concert headlined by Scarface, Goodie Mob and more will also take place at Andrew J. Brady Music Center on July 24.

A summer music festival that drew thousands to the riverfront last year is about to rock the Minnesota's capital city again.

On Thursday, event promoters confirmed the popular festival plans to take place June 11-14, 2026, at its longtime home, Great Stage Park (known to many as “The Farm”) in rural Manchester, Tennessee. Launched in 2002, Bonnaroo has built a dedicated following on buzzworthy lineups, late-night performances and an eclectic camping experience.
