James Comey’s new book, “FDR Drive,” features a villain who incites violence while keeping his own hands clean. After Comey posted an Instagram photo on May 15 of seashells in the formation “86 47,” the White House accused the former FBI director of doing something similar.

Fox News producer Johnny Belisario confronted James Comey at a book signing to ask about his attention-grabbing anti-Trump Instagram post. But the former FBI director remained tight-lipped until Belisario was led away wanting more.

James Comey, who is under investigation for an Instagram post about Trump, said he believes the judiciary will protect him from a dubious prosecution.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary traces “86” to “1930s soda-counter slang meaning that an item was sold out. There is varying anecdotal evidence about why the term eighty-six was used, but the most common theory is that it is rhyming slang for nix.”
