GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Dozens of small businesses across West Michigan shut down on Monday, Feb. 3, as part of a national protest to raise awareness about the role immigrants play in the American economy.

Today, many businesses across the US are participating in "A Day Without Immigrants," which aims to protest President Trump's orders on immigration.

The protest comes against a backdrop of renewed ICE raids in New York City and elsewhere in the country since President Trump took office.
