Texans QB Under Concussion Protocol

CJ Stroud Foundation’s Instagram Stories shared a post by his mother Kimberly that said, “CJ is ok, thank you for your prayers.”
Nothing went quite right for the Houston Texans as they narrowly lost to the Denver Broncos after a bunch of self-inflicted mishaps. And lost their starting quarterback, CJ Stroud, to a concussion after he was hit by Broncos CB Kris Abrams-Draine.
At the top of the second quarter, Stroud would go down with a concussion following a scramble, taken down by Broncos cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, which would sideline Houston's star quarterback for the remainder of the contest, elevate Davis Mills for the rest of the day, and wound up coming up short 15-18.

Texans' C.J. Stroud 'so proud' of ex-Ohio State teammate Justin Fields after emotional disclosure
Fields’ words filled C.J. Stroud with pride. The Houston Texans quarterback said he heard what his college teammate had to say and couldn’t have been more pleased with his message. “I’m just so proud of my brother, his growth with that and just his vulnerability,” Stroud said. “It’s hard.”
The Texans very well may have beaten the Broncos if C.J. Stroud had played more than 16 minutes, but he didn't. Stroud was diagnosed with a concussion after a slide when a hit by Broncos cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine slammed the quarterback's head into the ground.
It's also worth noting that the Broncos’ All-Pro linebacker Dre Greenlaw will return to the fold after missing one game through suspension, so it will be no mean feat for Stroud and Co. to gain positive traction irrespective of Surtain being sidelined.
