The first season of the New England Patriots' post-Bill Belichick era has largely gone as many expected, as the rebuilding team that has weaknesses throughout its roster entered its Week 14 bye at 3-10.

The Pats are in their first season with Jerod Mayo as their head coach after parting ways with Belichick in the offseason, and it hasn't been the year New England hoped for. After 13 weeks, the Patriots are 3–10 and have lost three of their last four—a slump that followed a six-game losing streak earlier in the season.

While the New England Patriots stumbled their way to a 3-10 start, their former head coach remained largely silent. Despite being an analyst and frequent guest on multiple programs these days, Bill Belichick did not have a lot of words to share about the state of the organization he oversaw for over two decades.
