When Jets general manager Darren Mougey turns in his first pick of the NFL Draft on Thursday night – he starts the day holding onto the No. 7 overall selection – it’ll mark the fifth time in the last 20 years a new regime has gotten its chance to shape the Jets t hrough the draft.

Three months after they were hired, general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn will select the first draft picks of their tenure beginning on the first night of the NFL Draft (April 24-26). After all the turnover on their roster, the Jets still have several needs to address.

The Jets hold eight picks in this draft, and their first is the No. 7 overall selection. What Mougey should do with that pick has been the subject of debate for months.
